New Hampshire Auto Insurance Requirements
In New Hampshire you are "NOT" required by state law to purchase auto insurance but you must be able to demonstrate that you are able to provide sufficient funds to meet New Hampshire Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Requirements. If you buy Auto Insurance in New Hampshire, the minimum limits available for Liability Coverage are 25/50/25.

Bodily Injury $25,000/$50,000 - Property Damage $25,000
Uninsured/Underinsured Bodily Injury $25,000/$50,000
Medical Payments $1,000
*New Hampshire doesn't mandate purchasing auto insurance, but you must be financially responsible for your actions.
New Hampsire currently has a tort insurance system in place meaning there is always a person found at fault when an accident occurs. The person found at fault and there insurance company is responsible to pay for any damage incurred from the accident. Each state maintains it's own Tort Systems.
To protect you from injuries caused by an uninsured and/or underinsured driver. Uninsured/Underinsured Bodily Injury coverage is available. The state of New Hampshire require drivers to purchase this coverage if they purchase auto insurance.
